A delicious pastoral drama of family life set in rural Ireland. We experience the intimacies of a poor family in Ireland set against the backdrop of the annual Lughnasa festival, a highlight of the year with singing and dancing to be enjoyed by all. We follow the five Mundy sisters, their brother, a son and the son’s itinerant father, all from the perspective of the little boy. What happens when a family once tight-knit begin to drift apart?
