Our main space is our auditorium, which seats 187 with two wheelchair spaces.
We also have our studio, which has no fixed seating and can be used as a rehearsal space, for smaller performances, or is suitable for events that require an empty space with flexible seating options.
Main auditorium
The auditorium is our main performance space, and features 187 fixed seats plus two wheelchair spaces, all directly facing the proscenium arch.
Auditorium access is step-free from street level. The stage is accessed via a small number of steps from the auditorium or backstage.

The studio
Designed for rehearsals, the studio has the same working dimensions as our main stage. There is no fixed seating but chairs are provided which the hirer can move as needed. As well as rehearsals it’s a good choice for smaller less formal performances and has been used by community groups for meetings, and events such as yoga and pilates classes.
Access is via two flights of stairs. A stairlift is available.

Other facilities
The theatre has a licensed bar selling a variety of soft, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks which can be opened for hires on request. We can also arrange interval ice cream sales in the foyer.
Please note that theatre users are responsible for their own ticket sales – the Little Theatre do not operate our own box office. Hire is on a dry hire basis, you will need to provide your own staff including technicians and stewards for the auditorium.
