The Little Theatre wouldn’t function without a small army of volunteers, all of whom are members of the Progressive Players.
The Progressive Players have been resident at the Little Theatre ever since we opened in 1943, and produce around ten shows a year. Members act, direct plays and look after wardrobe, props, sound and lighting. They run our bar, sell ice cream, and run the box office and publicity for Progressive Players productions. Even the trustee board of the Little Theatre is wholly drawn from members of the Progressive Players.
If you have an interest in theatre – whether you see yourself on stage, behind the scenes or assisting the public in one of the many front of house roles that keep the place running, there are opportunities for everyone.
